Jason Kraus
Jason Kraus is a skilled and experienced corporate and real estate attorney with a strong litigation background. He is Board Certified as a Specialist in Real Estate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
He had been Managing Partner with Bouman Kraus, PC, which he joined in 2008, before forming The Kraus Law Firm in 2013. Prior, he was an associate with Winstead, PC, (formally Winstead, Sechrest and Minick) a mid-size Texas law firm, in their Real Estate Development and Finance practice group where he handled the legal needs of a diverse group of clients.
Before entering private practice in 2006, Jason was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy and served as a Lieutenant in the Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps. During his final two years, Jason served as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney (SAUSA) for the Southern District of California defending the United States Navy in federal court.
He was admitted to practice law in the State of North Carolina in 2001 and the State of Texas in 2007.
While in law school he clerked for the Honorable Wallace W. Dixon, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He also was an assistant editor of the Campbell Law Review and two-time recipient of the law review’s scholarship.
